Rules of the Friends of QEII Daniel Park


Friends of Queen Elizabeth II Daniel Park

 
Objects

TO CONSULT OTHER USERS OF THE FIELD FORMALLY KNOWN AS “QUEEN ELIZABETH II DANIEL PARK” WHITCHURCH (HAMPSHIRE) AND ADVISE BASINGSTOKE & DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (the “Council”) ON THE MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, PRESERVATION, BEAUTIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE FIELD FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC.

Powers
The Friends shall have no obligations to the Council and no powers other than to represent the best interests of the users of the Field and seek to influence their partner organisations accordingly.

Partners
In pursuit of these Objects, the Friends will collaborate with the Council, Whitchurch Town Council, Fields in Trust and any other body or group whose contribution can further the Objects of the Friends.

Meetings
The Friends shall hold an Annual General Meeting in each year which will be open to all.  At the AGM a Chair and Secretary shall be elected by a simple majority of those present and voting. 

A core group of volunteers will be nominated to conduct the business of the Friends between AGMs.  There shall be no maximum number of members of the core group, which shall meet no less than four times in a year, to include the AGM, on dates to be agreed.  The quorum for a meeting of the group shall be four core members including either the Chair or the Secretary.
