A new oak tree for the Park - to commemorate 2015's Worldwide Whitchurch Weekend

On Saturday 13th February, a small group of hardy volunteers turned out to plant an oak sapling that was grown by Graham Burgess for last year's joyous WWW.  Mayor Barry Jackman presided over it all with his usual enthusiasm.

You will find the tree on the right as you enter from the Daniel Road entrance.  It mirrors the Jubilee Oak planted to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 on the other side of the path.

Thanks to Graham Burgess, Barry Jackman, Roland Bunce and family, Steve Neilson, John Fitzmorris and Brian Bent.
